Getting paid for surveys is usually the first stop for those looking to make a few extra bucks from home. Admittedly, this is not a way to replace your day job, or get rich. It IS however, a way to make some extra money from home in your spare time.
For me, it’s consistently doing a small amount daily (or when I can) that adds up.
Stuck in a ridiculously long check out line? Perfect time to earn a few bucks! Waiting at the Doctor’s office…bang a few surveys out instead of thumbing through a dirty old magazine!
I often do surveys while watching tv in the evenings, or on lazy Sundays when I’m lounging in my pj’s.
What keeps me motivated is setting aside cash for a goal or specific purpose.
Typically I am saving for a vacation, more recently I have a bigger goal: Saving for a life that LIVES like a vacation! I have my sites set on becoming a digital nomad and seeing the world, while I work from my laptop.
Knowing that I’m doing the surveys for a purpose keeps me motivated. It could be a way to pay off debt, afford a luxury item, go on vacation or even build up your nest egg…whatever inspires and motivates YOU!
Below are 10 of my favorite survey sites to earn a few extra bucks…every little bit helps when you’re motivated to achieve your dreams!
The mobile app for Swagbucks is one of the best, well-known, tried and true paid survey apps there is. It is one of my personal favorites, and regular go-to when I have a few moments.
It doesn’t take a lot of concentration, they ask you a series of simple questions, with the average payout around 75 SBs, or 75 cents. You will not qualify for every panel, but I typically average about $10 per hour on Swagbucks…you won’t get that from Candy Crush or Angry Birds!
If you’re like us and LOVE to travel, eMiles could be the perfect fit for you. The site, which is used by more than 3 million people, rewards you with points for hotels and flights for doing simple tasks such as; taking surveys, watching ads and claiming deals. EMiles site claims consumers can save $20 to $30 on their next trip by spending an hour on the site. Not a bad payout!
You can redeem these points for flights with major airlines like American Airlines, United or Southwest. Consistent use throughout the year could lead to significantly lower cost vacations! Pair this with an air miles cards for even deeper savings. Points can also be redeemed for Amazon or Starbucks giftcards.
Signing up is super easy, all you need is your email address and to be a U.S. resident.
Opinion Outpost offers surveys from all kinds of businesses and organizations. Most of them take around 10 minutes to complete and will earn you points that you can redeem for free gift cards to places like Amazon and iTunes.
What excites us most about this site is that they offer bonus payouts of $40,000 every year! Every survey you complete earns you an entry into the contest, with quarterly drawings for $10,000 cash!! That’s enough to keep me coming back!
Inbox Dollars is tried and true. They offer short surveys with decent payouts, and if you did them every day you could earn yourself over $700 a year. Not bad for a few minutes of your time each day.
Survey Junkie keeps it fun and inspiring with their Cashout Wheel, which motivates me to do more surveys. Most surveys are pretty quick to complete and earn points. 1000 points equals $10, and some surveys can payout up to 300 points or $3. Not a bad way to earn some pocket money (or debt payoff money, vacation money, Christmas money, etc). Best of all: Survey Junkie pays you out through Paypal once you amass 1000 points or more.
Point Club boasts a $5 credit just for signing up, PLUS, unlike some sites, they will pay you for every single survey you take. Points are then redeemable for gift cards from several stores, including Amazon and Walmart. That $5 bonus is enough to try it out, wouldn’t you say? That’s $5 for nothin’, let’s go!
Harris Poll is run by the Nielsen company, a leading global information & measurement company, that provides market research, insights & data about what people watch, listen to & buy. They are probably most famous for paying to know what people are watching on TV and contacting survey panelists for local focus groups in its area. If you are selected for a panel in your area they often pay $40+ per hour, just for your opinion!
i-Say is a survey app by Ipsos that pays you for your opinions. Many of their surveys offer $1-2 and take around 10 minutes to complete. This is another points based system that allows you to cash out via PayPal when you reach $10.
What’s unique and exciting about i-Say surveys is that they offer REALLY high payouts for certain surveys. I’m talking like $100! While they are rare, and obviously take longer to complete, the thought of finding one keeps me coming back! You never know when it could be your lucky day!
EarningStation is one of our favorite sites, because unlike many sites, they pay you in cash instead of points. Cash is the main reason we’re all here, right?
You can be paid for a variety of activities, including; taking surveys, watching videos, playing games and even shopping online.
PineCone Reasearch is another survey site, but what’s unique is you get paid cash after every survey you take via PayPal. This is so cool! Need a few extra bucks? Head on over to PineCone! Unlike many survey sites there’s no minimum to cash out. The surveys typically pay $3 for each one completed, and is open to U.S. residents.
